OUR DOES

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sugar
boer/Spanish/possibly kiko cross
Sugar is a boer cross doe from Minorsville, KY.  She was a bit thin when we got her (she got knocked out of the food bowl quite often).  She was also timid at first, but now she is dominant over most the does.  She is extremely hardy.  The only problem she's had is getting her leg stuck between a split tree trying to get some leaves.  Just a little swelling.
She gave us 2 kids in 2007, a buckling and a doe.  Her doe, Angel, will be posted on the doelings page soon.  Both kids are built hardy like Sugar.  Her buckling, our top one, is now sire to a 4-H herd in Georgetown.  We are very proud of her!
Rebecca
50% boer/nubian
Rebecca is from western KY.  She is very shy of people but she is a dominant doe.  She is a very good looking goat and the smartest of the bunch, always aware of who's doing what and when.  She, too, gave us a buck and a doe.  Both have grown well just like mom.
Patch
88% boer - Willow Lane Patch Work
Patch is one of the does we got from Mike and Kris Collins at Rolling Creek Ranch in Morehead, KY.  Her patch of red on her hip gets curly and whitish each winter.  She gave us 2 doelings in 2007, one traditional, and one a paint marked exactly like her.  Thus, the look-alike is named 'Lil Patch'.
Rachel
poled boer cross
Rachel is also from Morehead.  She and Jewell are running buddies.  And boy does she run.  I wish goats raced - no doubt she'd beat anybody!  Rachel gave us one of the top bucklings this year.  He was thick from day one and just kept growing.  We are keeping her daughter who also is growing at a steady pace.
Jewell
poled 75% boer
We just had to have this girl.  She has blue eyes!    She is a sweet girl.  When I first petted her, I turned away and she raised up like a dog for me to keep petting her.  I fell in love!  Even though she's poled, she pushes her way around with the other does.
Jewell had triplets for us in 2007!  A solid black buckling with waddles, a brown and white doeling with waddles, and a little light brown doeling named Maleah (just 3.2 lb).  All 3 kids have blue eyes like mom!
Belle
97% boer
When Belle first came to us, she waited her turn to eat, but now she butts the younger girls out of the way.  It's hard to get a picture of her.  She walks right to the camera thinking there's some food inside of it.
She adopted our little fainter wether Willie.  They ended up in a pen together and bonded.  He is black and white as well, so they are very cute together.
Lady Guinevere
100% SA boer
Lady was feminine when we first got her.  She reminded me of ladies from the renaissance, so I named her after Lady Guinevere.  Then one day she was thick.  She kidded 2 traditional bucklings this year.  Who knows what spring will bring.
Wild
50% boer
Wild and Wilder were crazy when we first got them.  Electric fences and barbed wire were no match!  She kidded 2 BIG bucklings this year!
Since weaning her boys, Wild has become...tame.  She comes to us to be petted.  All we can figure is she misses her boys.
Wilder
50% boer
Both her and Wild have grown nicely.  And she passes on her flashy color!  She had twin does and we are keeping them for our herd.  She hasn't tamed down like Wild, but like Wild, she is an excellent mom.
Victoria
boer cross
She is a really good looking goat.  Her red markings are enriched with touches of black.  She gave birth to a mocha, black and white colored doeling this summer.  She was the last of the bunch so we named her 'Baby'.  At 6 weeks old, she was the same size as doelings a month older than her.  Keeping our fingers crossed she'll throw twins next year!
Idaho
boer cross
She has filled out nicely.  She has the shape of Idaho on her face.  Well, it's backwards, but it's Idaho!  Her daughter, named Boise on our farm, was small at birth, but surpassed her 1/2 siblings by weaning.  Idaho is very hardy and an easy keeper.  Hoping she, too, has twins next year.
LBC 017
99% American Premiere kiko
We missed breeding these kiko girls last fall, and can't wait to see what they throw next spring!
LBC 024
99% American Premiere kiko
These girls have really grown!  We expect good strong premieres from them and Coal.
Cinnamon
Commercial
She looked like a miniature version of Sugar when we first saw her and we had to get her.  She hangs tight with the kiko girls.  Who knows, she may have a little in her.
